GO / NO-GO — Privacy Policy & Legal

Last updated: 21 August 2026

1. What this app is — and is not

GO / NO-GO provides weather and sea-condition guidance for recreational powerboaters. It is a decision-support tool only. It is not a navigation system, not a certified safety service, and not a substitute for proper seamanship, local knowledge, or professional maritime advice.

Every verdict is generated automatically using third-party forecast data. No verdict constitutes permission, clearance, or a professional recommendation to launch or remain ashore.

THE SKIPPER'S JUDGEMENT IS ALWAYS FINAL AND ALWAYS SOLE.

2. Disclaimer of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GO / NO-GO and its developer(s) accept no liability whatsoever for:

(a) any injury, death, loss, or damage arising from decisions made using this application;
(b) inaccurate, delayed, or missing forecast data;
(c) failure or unavailability of the application or any connected data source;
(d) conditions that differ materially from those forecast.

You use this application entirely at your own risk.

3. Data sources & third-party providers

Forecast data is obtained from independent third-party providers including Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) and Copernicus Marine Service. GO / NO-GO has no control over their accuracy or availability. All data is provided "as received" without modification.

4. No warranty

This application is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Marine forecasts are inherently probabilistic. Conditions can and do change faster than any model can predict.

5. Privacy policy

GO / NO-GO does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Your boat profile is stored locally on your device only and is never sent to any server. Location data is used solely to fetch weather forecasts and calculate your distance from your home marina. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and, where applicable, European Union law including GDPR.
